All the amazing things that happen with the car and the team comes with a price. That’s where sponsors and fundraisers come into place. Creating positive and lasting relationships with companies and the school itself is a key aspect of our team. Many companies love to work with FSAE teams and even more love to hire from FSAE teams because of the knowledgeable and hard working engineers that they create. Our team has been sponsored by software and engineering companies in the past, such as ANSYS and SpaceX. If you are interested in business, your job will include raising funds for the team through company sponsorship and donations, to get the team the best prices on materials for making the car, and communicate with the S&T SDELC and SAFB to acquire funding and show the team around campus. Along with that, at competition you would be responsible for giving a business presentation, which is setup as if the team were a mock company asking for an investment. There is also a cost portion of competition where you would talk about all the costs that went into making the whole car.

Sponsorship Packets

The best way to reach companies is with a personalized and unique elevator pitch about the team. As a starting point, the team has a sponsorship packet that gives general information about the team, car, and competition. If you decide that you would like to reach out to a company to receive a sponsorship, please talk with one of the officers first.
