Once you’ve got NX downloaded, you’ll be ready to start learning how to use the software. This video is only about 5 minutes long. If you have issues with the download, ask your sub-team lead about troubleshooting.

Issues running NX or R:\Drive

If you run into issues logging into the R;Drive, run through the following steps:

• If the computer throws a long error message, it is most likely an issue with conversation happening between the computer and the network. This issue is usually resolved by updating to the most recent version of Windows. Check your general settings to see if you have an update available.
• Short error messages like “Incorrect Password” and “Access denied” are issues we can solve on our end. If the password displays as incorrect and you have recently changed your password in UMSYSTEM, then it is most likely that the team just needs to resubmit your name into the R;drive access page. Let the R;drive manager know and they can fix it for you. Access denied most likely means you haven’t been given access in the first place. Again, just contact the R;drive manager and they should be able to fix your problem within the hour.

Issues Running NX:

• General Fault Exception - This is an issues with your graphics card or graphics driver. It can usually be solved by updating or re-installing your drivers.
